CHURCH SHOPS
Extend the ministry of the church
- through the sale of Christian books and cards
- by providing a presence in a church/cathedral
- by making a "bridge" into the worship building
Provide a service for the pilgrim and visitor
- through the sale of guide books and souvenirs
Raise funds for the fabric and work of the church
- by covenanting profits to the church
THE CATHEDRAL AND CHURCH SHOPS ASSOCIATION
- Provides a forum for the exchange of information
- Arranges an annual conference and trade fair for its members each November
- Sponsors meetings of shop staff in several areas of the country each Spring
- Gives advice and assistance for the setting up and running of a church shop from experienced shop managers
New members are welcome Membership is open to shops and their managers and staff, which trade solely for the benefit of their Cathedral, Church or Religious House. Shops wishing to join the CCSA, but which are not attached to Cathedrals or Churches, may be considered for Associate membership, subject to the agreement of the AGM of the Association. |
